Morpheus Hotel, City of Dreams

Designed by world renowned Zaha Hadid Architects, the design of Morpheus is a breakthrough in modern building design and considered an incredible art piece. The hotel’s exoskeleton structural steel free-form design is also the first of its kind in the world. Steel structure erection commenced in 2015, total weight of structural steel used is approximately 31,000 tons (including 27,000 tons permanent structural steel and 4,000 tons for temporary steel structure).
Appointed as structural steel contractor for the project in the beginning, HYG was also awarded Phase 2 of the contract which comprises project management, and sub-contracting of various works, including steel structure, fitting-out of atrium area, fire-rated doors and partitions, etc. Main contracting period of The Morpheus was from 2015 to 2018.
Being the first exoskeleton steel structure in the world, Morpheus received a Gold Award from China Construction Metal Structure Association (CCMSA), one of the three CCMSA nationwide awards clinched by HYG in recent years.

Studio City Macau

The Studio City Macau, HungYip Group was awarded the following major packages of structural steel work:
     Design and build two 30m tall Hero Status; Design and build 2 Brave Troops status, Erection of the Golden Wheel system, The rescue system for the golden wheel, Design and build the Pylon Sign, Grove Bussing Entrance.
     Also, Hung Yip Group was involved in the Transformer Substation, North podium RC works and the fire door works in the Studio City Macau project.
     Main construction period: 2014-2015.

Venetian Parisian

The Parisian (Venetian Parcel 3), Hung Yip Group was awarded major contracts for the following packages of structural steel works: Ballroom & Theatre roof steel trusses, Link Bridge (P3 ~ P1), Eiffel Tower Portal.
Total steel tonnage used was approximately 4,000 Tons. For the trusses of Ballroom and Theatre, extensive hydraulic lifting and sliding method were adopted to erect the 54m span X 5.5m depth truss, and about 250-tone per lifting and sliding was applied.
Main construction period: 2015.

City of Dreams

The City of Dreams structural steel project was the milestone project of HungYip Group. Total project sum was approximately HK$800 million, and total steel supplied was about 42,000 Tons. Main construction period was from May 2007 to Dec 2012.

The House of Dancing Water

A show like no other on the earth - The House of Dancing Water, City of Dreams. The main structural steel work commenced in February 2008 and completed in October 2008. The single typical steel truss in span measured 60m x 6m depth. Due to the site condition limitation, the 2-way launching method was adopted for the trusses erection, and the top down method with the pool works.

Construction period: October 2019 - January 2020
Hung Yip Group completed this project within a very tight schedule of 4 months. The scope of work comprised dismantling and alteration of structural work and curtain wall installation.

MTL Hotel construction

Construction commenced in May 2019 (under construction at the time of this update in April 2020)
Scope of work comprises the construction of a 22-storey hotel, including foundation and superstructure.
